The C(k)PF Designation is used to distinguish professionals who have completed the C(k)PF Designation Examination, which tests many areas of expertise in retirement plan benefits.
Individuals holding the C(k)PF Designation have obtained an expertise in retirement plan design, operation, and understanding of fiduciary obligations along with a comprehension of many techniques which improve plan outcomes.
The C(k)PF Designation is the most comprehensive retirement plan certification program for business owners, benefits specialists, or other employer fiduciaries. This Designation is designed for persons charged with the responsibility of company retirement plan oversight who wish to increase their knowledge base.
Each C(k)PF Designation Candidate is required to attend a half-day TPSU training program conducted by a certified instructor.
Attendees of a TPSU Program are eligible to receive the C(k)PF Designation with the following criteria:
- Any certification with SHRM, HRCI, PayrollOrg
- Being a CPA
- Qualified 401k Administrator (QKA) designation from the ASPPA
- Certified Plan Sponsor Professional (CPSP) from the Plan Sponsor Council of America
If you do not qualify based on the above criteria, you can receive the C(k)PF Designation by taking the 12 online courses and passing the proctored exam. If you do so withing 12 months after attending the TPSU Program, the cost for the designation will be covered by a TPSU Scholarship.
